Remember as a kid when you'd be playing in the street, then someone would yell "CAR!" and everyone would move, let the car pass, then back to the street? That's how we were with clouds during Leslie's family session. Everyone was loosely grouped together, we'd see a cloud coming, they'd fall back into position, I'd tweak, then run for the ladder so I could photograph while the cloud was over the sun. I'm sure the people in the lobby thought we were pretty funny!
Here are the matriarch and patriarch of the clan. She had the Miss America pose down pat and helped demonstrate for the girls!
So, Kimberly... how DO you get 24 people to look at you on the windiest day we've seen in Myrtle Beach outside of a hurricane?
Well, you're lucky enough to have one smart dad (yay Cliff!) ask this guy to stand behind you, then pose for a snapshot with those brave enough to stand next to him, you do okay.
And in case you couldn't really see, HERE he is!
No, my calendar's not messed up. You see, Rob gifted Jennifer with this family beach session for Mother's Day. The message he asked me to write on her gift certificate made me cry and I couldn't wait to meet the woman who inspired those words.
Such a beautiful family! Rob & Jennifer are so in love with their children, and each other. It's a joy to see. More to share - and your gallery - in a few days!
Thanks to Carla Blankenship for the tag!

A & A - so adorable and completely different! When they arrived, Mr. A came right over, made friends, and absconded with my equipment. Miss A took her time checking out the area, stayed close to Mom, and was very, very serious. Not sad, not unhappy, but taking everything in before making up her mind that not only the location was okay, but I was too. Look at these first two images - there's no doubt who's whom!
Such a beautiful family and so very blessed by their adoption of these two beautiful, charming children from Guatemala.
Thank you so much for choosing me as your Celebrating Adoption photographer, Marcy!
